| Strong winds (~30 m/sec) were very frequent, sometimes resembling waterspout. Strong storms occurred in July-August. The whole summer was cold and windy, the period from 10 July to 1 August also rainy.

Breeding conditions:
|
| June was cold and windy, July - cold, rainy, frequent fogs. Activity of predators (foxes) was high. Cold late season and depredation by Red Foxes led to unsuccessful reproduction of most waterfowl.

Summary
of fauna studies: |
| The data were collected on breeding biology and distribution of Charadrius mongolus and "kamenushka", numbers of migrating wader species, distribution of moulting ducks and geese. Distribution of nest of Steller's sea eagles was studied. Materials of the expeditions are expected to be published in collaboration with the University of Osnabruk, Germany.
